Jed – Yellow Male, 11 years, 87 lbs.

From our Golden Oldies Collection

Meet Jed!  This sweet old feller is just waiting for the perfect family and he has a very long list of requirements for his senior years!  (Really just one – to be pampered like the millionaire dog he is!)

You might remember ole’ Jed Clampett from the TV series, he was out shootin’ at some food when up from the ground came bubbling crude – oil – black gold!

Well the first thing you know ol Jed’s a millionaire, The kinfolk said “Jed move away from there” said “Californy is the place you ought to be”  So they loaded up the truck and they moved to Beverly! Hills, that is. Swimmin pools, movie stars. The Beverly Hillbillies!

Like the song says Jed struck it rich he found the defenders of dogs and became a millionaire in the dog world!

Jed was found as a stray, hungry, thirsty, tired and weak.  He was given shelter by a nice lady and brought to Lab Rescue.   After searching for a possible owner it was determined this poor old guy was left all alone in the world.

Jed is amazingly perfect!  He is house trained, dog friendly, cat friendly, people friendly, and sleeps all night quietly on any soft surface he can find!   He’s got a few old age lumps and his back legs aren’t as strong as they used to be. But he still has spring in his step and is a genuine gentleman dog in every respect.

He would like to live out his life in a doggy mansion, as he deserves all the finest things in life.  Most importantly a human to love him and be home with him.  Jed doesn’t like being outside by himself he howls and cries and probably fears being left alone and dumped.   His fosters have promised him he will never be left like that again!

He walks perfect on leash and has perfect manners inside the house and in all situations he is infallibly a gentleman.

Jed would like to have the company of someone home often. He does fine being left inside for periods of a few hours and disturbs nothing!  But left outside and ole Jed likes to sing (howl) his sad tale.

This giant gentleman dog is waiting to find his perfect retirement life.  Apply for adoption at www.LabRescueFresno.org
