Daisy Mae- Yellow Female, approx. 5ish years old, 63lbs
Are you looking for your true love too? My name is Daisy Mae and I am seeking to join a family that I can love forever and ever and be loved forever and ever! You see, I have not experienced very much love in my early years… I was bred a lot, underfed, and in rough shape when I came to the dog defenders – the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno. Lucky for me, those angels at LRRF know how to treat a girl! 3 square meals a day, treats, baths, soft beds, toys, lots of cuddles and love, and no more puppies for me! I know what love is now – and I want to share it with one special family forever!
I am a very sweet girl who absolutely loves my people. I often try to sit on your lap. I am too big? What? There is no such thing as too big to be a lap dog! I love to snuggle close and get lots of attention. Hey, I was starved for attention for most of my life, so I gotta make up for lost time! I love to give big sloppy Labbie kisses to show you how much I love you. I love to play, but I still do not quite get the idea of retrieving hehehe. I prefer to play keep-away instead! I am working on perfecting my house-manners. Living in a house was new to me and I am learning some of those fancy commands like “sit” and “drop it” in my foster home. My foster mom says I am really smart, and just need someone to keep up with my training to ensure a lifetime of good behavior. I love to go on car rides and I am perfecting my leash manners so I can go everywhere with you! All I want is to love you forever with all my heart and to be a special member of your family. Do you have room for me in your family?
Daisy Mae is a loving and affectionate girl who is very well-socialized despite being let down by humans in the past. She wants nothing more than to snuggle close and be by your side. Daisy Mae loves to play with other dogs after properly introduced, but she does chase the resident cat at her foster home a bit too much, so she would probably be best in a home without a feline friend. She would do best with an active family with a well fenced yard. She would be a good jogging partner. Daisy Mae is great with people of all ages, and would be an excellent family dog! Daisy Mae is looking for that true love to last a lifetime – could it be with you? Apply today at www.labrescuefresno.org to find out!
