Colby – Black Male, 6 years, 56 lbs
What is happiness to you? A soft cuddle, a long walk, a delicious treat? My name is Colby and I have learned the true secret to happiness- can you guess what it is? Love! All you need is love! You see, I just recently found out what it is like to be loved and I have never experienced such happiness. Now I want to share all of my love with you! Prior to being rescued by the angels at Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno, I led a lonely existence as a stray with no one to love. Then one day I found myself at this scary place called a shelter. I was so frightened, I just shook in my kennel with fear. But now all of that has changed! I live indoors with my LRRF foster family and get so much love and attention! Cuddles, kisses, walks – it is an incredible life!
I am a laid-back cuddle pup who absolutely loves to be with my people. I am a very friendly and affectionate boy who is happiest right by your side. I love to go on walks, and I am learning my leash manners. I love to curl up on the couch and watch tv with you – my favorite channel is Animal Planet! My foster family has taught me how to be a gentleman in the house and I am fully house-trained and working on crate training, though I do not really care for the crate. I prefer to be right by you! I get along well with other dogs and enjoy socializing with furry friends. I have never been exposed to those cat critters, so I am not sure what I would think about that! I am a quiet boy who wants nothing more than to cuddle up close and snuggle the day away.
Colby is a gentle and tender loving soul who has so much love to give. This sweet boy is an easy-going addition to any family, but he would prefer someone home with him most of the time. Colby did not receive much affection or attention in his prior life and is overflowing with love to give to his new family.
