About Us

Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno has been rescuing and finding qualified homes for Labrador Retrievers since 2008. We obtained our 501(c)(3) non-profit status in 2010. The primary source of our Labs is from City and County Shelters. We are an all volunteer organization covering Fresno, Kings, Tulare and Madera counties.

An enormous number of Labradors are being found at our local SPCA and surrounding area rural shelters. Labradors have also been surrendered or abandoned partly due to the large number of foreclosures in Fresno County. We give every Lab a veterinary exam, inoculations, test for parasites, heartworm, microchip, and spay/neuter. We fix broken bones and provide care for the neglected and abandoned dog. We take in senior and special needs Labs and provide for foster care until we can place them in forever homes. As a direct result of the number of dogs coming into rescue, our resources are severely strained.

Support

The work of Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno is supported entirely by our dog loving community. Through the generous hearts and hands of people like you, we can ensure that the animals who come into our care will never again be alone, hungry, sick, afraid or in pain.

Our veterinary expenses are very high. Please consider a one time or monthly donation to help us with caring for these dogs. Your donation is tax deductible and greatly appreciated.

We are 100% foster based and do not have a facility to house or board our dogs. We can only save as many dogs as we have foster families. Please consider saving a life by fostering one of our Labradors. An application can be found under “Become a Foster”.
